I waited a full week before posting my thoughts on the Colamy Atlas chair, just to have a clearer perspective. The verdict? Despite a few minor issues, it’s a great chair — especially for the price.
Pros:
- The seat is firm yet comfortable, allowing for long working sessions without discomfort.
- The backrest is well-designed and provides good support on its own, without needing the lumbar support.
- There are plenty of adjustment options (armrests, tilt, height, etc.), which is very welcome.
- Assembly is quick and easy to do solo.
- The overall build quality is solid and consistent with what you’d expect at this price point.
Cons:
- The armrests lack stability and tend to move a bit too easily, which can get annoying.
- The integrated lumbar support didn’t work for me — it feels too rigid and doesn’t improve comfort.
- The headrest I received had a defective thread. It’s probably just bad luck on my part — I must’ve received the one with a manufacturing flaw.
- The included Allen key wore out quickly during assembly and could definitely be better quality.
Customer service deserves a mention:
I reached out to Colamy about the headrest issue, and their customer service was very responsive, helpful, and professional. It’s great to see a brand that stands behind its products and supports its customers.
In summary:
While it’s not perfect, the Colamy Atlas offers excellent value. In terms of comfort and adjustability, it honestly rivals chairs that cost €600 or more. If you’re looking for an ergonomic chair that’s affordable and well-designed, this is a strong contender.
The chair is almost perfect for me, the armrests are a bit loose, but other than that I am satisfied.

You won't need your foot rest with this chair, but the haed rest is a bit too high for me.
Arm rest is very customizable at its price point but a bit loose.
Adjustable seat depth is also a great feature.
Used for 1 week with long section everyday, seat cushion is still bouncy but not soft, after the first 24 hr of use the firmness is completely gone. I wish it was that solid. It's still conformtable but I worry how long it could last.
I have chief l been using it for 2 weeks and ours really good. It's comfortable and help me too limit the pain I've in my back. The instruction to build it were perfect and it was quick and easy to do it. In really happy of my purchase.
